Member and Family Care
As a part of the Chapel community we want to support and care
for you and your family and help you and encourage you in the
journey of life. This journey includes celebrations and
sometimes difficulties and we want to be there to support you in
these seasons of your life. Whether you desire to receive
Biblical counseling or have a need for prayer, spiritual support
and encouragement, or are celebrating the unity of a couple in
marriage, or the birth of a new baby, we encourage you to contact us with your needs
and we'll do what we can to come alongside you.
Baby Dedication
A few times each year, as babies are being born into The Chapel
family, we set aside time during Sunday morning worship
services to have a Baby Dedication. During this time,
parents and the supporting congregation are offered an
opportunity to pledge before God their acceptance of the
responsibility of raising these children Biblically, and to pray
that these children may one day yield their hearts and lives
to their Creator.
Baptism
We celebrate through baptism the commitments
that people have made to be followers of Christ. Baptism
is a symbol of the change Christ has made in their lives and their
commitment to live differently as a follower of Jesus
Christ.
Communion
Celebration of the Lord's Supper is a sacred event at The
Chapel in which the community of believers in Jesus
Christ participate. In this service of remembrance, we recall
the words of our Lord during the Passover meal known as the "Last
Supper" and with grateful hearts, receive the elements of bread and
grape juice. No one is under any compulsion to participate
and may use the time to pray, meditate, or quietly worship during
the musical offering that takes place while the deacons serve the
bread and juice.
Counseling
We provide professional, Biblically-based counseling through
our Wrap-Around Counseling Ministry to care for
those within the congregation. Counseling is provided by
appointment only. See below or for more information about
receiving this kind of support. Please contact The Chapel offices

Love & Respect-Marriage Support: Love
& Respect is a 13-week study for couples and is designed
to help couples meet one another's needs based on Genesis
chapter 3 and Ephesians chapter 5. Love &
Respect reveals why spouses react negatively to each
other, and how they can deal with such conflict quickly, easily and
biblically.

Wrap-Around Counseling Ministry
at The Chapel in North Canton
Our Philosophy-
Wrap-Around Counseling gets its name and philosophy straight
from the Word of God (the Bible), which states, "All scripture is
God-breathed and essential for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and
training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work." We believe that any human
circumstance open to counseling is open to biblical counseling, as
only Scripture can truly address the source of human problems and
suffering, and the interconnection of body, soul and spirit.
Our Method-
The Wrap-Around staff is experienced, trained and equipped to
address any and all needs of those who seek counseling. Each
person or family is assessed and appropriate direction is
advised. If the need is spiritual growth, we partner with the
corresponding ministry at The Chapel (men's and women's ministries,
family life ministries, Adult Bible Fellowships, etc.) to provide a
caring community and environment in which to grow. This is
counseling by Edification.
If the need is of a nature that requires more "face time",
healing and support, there are a number of accountability groups
and mentoring partnerships available where spiritually healthy men,
women or couples come alongside those who are struggling, and help
them navigate through the difficult seasons of life. This is
counseling by Encouragement.
Wrap-Around has also recently acquired the capability to address
psychological/psychiatric cases. The following individuals (on
staff or in partnership with our ministry) are licensed to diagnose
and treat mental and emotional disorders, and counsel biblically.
These individuals will be counseling by Enlightenment. They
are:

Deacon Ministry
The Deacons are the spiritual leaders of the church
and support the church family and members through prayer
for the church and its leaders, and by caring for the special
needs of the congregation such as visiting shut-ins and those
hospitalized or bereaved, and helping those in the church with
their needs. The deacons are also involved with communion
services, baptisms, and other church functions.
The Deacons also support the elderly, widows and single mothers
in the church through Day
of Encouragement, which is a service day organized to have the
church serve others in the church with practical needs.
Meal Ministry
"Share with those in need. Practice hospitality."
-Psalm 12:13
We have a volunteer ministry that prepares meals for those in
the congregation who have been hospitalized for an illness or a
surgery, for families with a new baby, or those suffering the loss
of a loved one. For more information about this ministry,
