Strategic Plan
Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) was created to define the
vision and develop a mission statement for The Chapel in North
Canton. By clearly defining our overall church mission and
coordinating the development of goals for each major area of
ministry, current and future ministry areas can be effectively
evaluated.
In December 2011, Strategic Plan process completed the initial
"development" phase. The "Implementation and Monitoring" phase,
which is the most crucial stage, is intended to adopt, integrate
and to put into action the strategic plan Objectives, Strategies
and Action Plans into every ministry and area of service of The
Chapel in North Canton.
In completing the development phase, nearly one hundred members
participated and contributed to the development of ministry
specific Goals, Objectives, Strategies and Action Plans, that would
consistently reflect and achieve the mission statement and core
values of the Chapel.
Underlying and foundational to all ministry area Goals,
Objectives, Strategies and Action Plans currently defined or
developed in the future is the Mission Statement
of The Chapel in North Canton:
The Chapel in North Canton is a Christ-centered
community that glorifies God by presenting the
gospel, so that people might come to know Jesus as
Savior, grow in their relationship with him and serve him - locally
and globally.
Core Values being:
The guiding principles that allow The
Chapel to fulfill its purposes are contained in the following seven
core values:
1. Commitment to the proclamation of the Word of
God in our preaching and teaching.
2. Commitment to reaching outside our walls as we bring the gospel
to people who need Jesus.
3. Commitment to building relationships with one another in
community and fellowship.
4. Commitment to equipping believers to serve one another and the
world.
5. Commitment to the spiritual formation of every believer toward
conformity to Christ.
6. Commitment to global impact through sending and going.
7. Commitment to seeking God's will and desire through prayer.
For planning, implementation and monitoring
purposes all the current and identifiable future areas of ministry
