SAGE for Senior Adults
SAGE is both a spice as well as an herb. It has
more medicinal usages than practically any other spice/herb. The
other meaning of the word, sage is a very wise person who gained
wisdom through experience. It is clear, therefore, why this word
was chosen as the basis for the acrostic for our seniors ministry.
The letters stand for Senior
Adults, Godly
Examples. Our desire is care for the needs of
seniors within and without our midst, by ministering to the
spiritual, physical, and social needs of seniors, to enrich their
lives for the glory of Christ and His Kingdom.
- Spiritual Needs: Bible study, mission projects, special
speakers
- Physical Needs: shut-ins, nursing home ministry, meal
ministry
- Social Needs: carry-in meals, field trips
SAGE meetings take place the third Thursday of every
