Sound
The sound technician ministry ensures that "God's Word is heard"
through the joy of Worship - including music, drama, video
presentations and the spoken word. And it's fun!
Sound techs are guided by the Director of Worship & Creative
Arts to maintain a consistent sound presentation and facilitate
worship by ensuring proper sound mix in the house speakers, the
setup of microphones for vocals and instruments, mixing vocal
monitors, mix and recording of services and events, assisting with
the setup and teardown of the audio equipment on the main sanctuary
platform based on programming needs and - if desiring to do so -
occasionally assisting with the installation of new
equipment. A sound tech is on-hand to support the mid-week
evening Worship Band and choir rehearsal as well as Sunday morning
services. The sound system is manned on a rotating basis for
coverage of Sunday services, rehearsals and other events where use
of the system is required.
A background in music and/or experience with
mixing/recording is preferred but not absolutely
necessary.
