Local Outreach
Experiencing Christ Through Community
The Chapel reaches out to our local and regional communities in
a variety of ways. We currently partner with established
non-profit, charitable organizations, such as Bethesda Outreach
Ministries, Refuge of Hope and the
Pregnancy Support
Center of Stark County.
The Chapel is also intentionally moving into marginalized
neighborhoods through an organization called Kingdom
Communities. One such project is called
the LOGAN HOUSE in inner-city Canton, where a
small group of young men from The Chapel reside as missionaries and
live among and with those who have great physical and spiritual
needs. As part of their ministry, Friday evening family
dinners are brought in by Chapel volunteers, who serve and
dine with the housemates and neighbors who show up for the standing
invitation. If you are interested in learning more about
Logan or serving on a TGIF dinner, send us an email and we'll get
you connected.
If you woud like more information about any of our local
outreach ministries, contact the church office at (330) 494-3419 or
send us an email.
Comfy Cozies Needlework Ministry
Comfy Cozies is a Chapel ministry involving needlework and
card-making. Beautiful blankets, hats, scarves, quilts, and
other much-needed items. are lovingly crafted by hand and donated
to the local Pregnancy Support Center, hospitals, nursing homes,
schools, emergency workers, and to overseas missions. Each
item has a handmade card or tag attached, sharing the
reason for the gift being the love of God and the giver of the gift
as Jesus Christ Himself. For more information about Comfy Cozies,
send us an email and
we'll be happy to get in touch with you.
Community Impact Day
Community Impact Day is The Chapel's way of reaching
our city and surrounding communities with acts of service and
kindness. Whether it is raking leaves in the fall, painting
park benches or spreading mulch in Price Park, our goal is to serve
and bless those we meet.
Day of Encouragement
Day of Encouragement is our ministry to encourage the
elderly and single women/mothers in our congregation with yearly
leaf-raking, gutter cleaning and caring for their special needs
during the year.
